We Bring the Eye Doctor to Your Residents
Our Mobile Geriatric Eye Care Program delivers full-service, high-quality eye exams directly at your facility—no transportation needed. Residents get convenient access to comprehensive eye care, improving exam compliance and allowing early detection of serious vision problems like glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease.
No Cost to Your Facility
Gwinnett Pediatrics' Vision Mobile Team bills Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurers directly. Residents are only responsible for any applicable co-pays. Your organization carries zero financial responsibility.
Better Eye Health, Better Quality of Life
Early intervention preserves independence, reduces fall risk, and enhances overall well-being. Our program is not just eye care—it’s an extension of your healthcare services that adds meaningful value for both residents and families.
Our Mobile Geriatric Eye Care team brings full, dilated eye exams directly to your facility, assessing refractive error, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and ocular health for age-related conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry-eye syndrome. Each exam also includes a thorough medication review to identify any drugs that may impact vision and collaboration with your nursing staff or primary care providers as needed. Low-vision support—featuring adaptive devices and visual aids—is provided on the spot to help residents maintain independence and quality of life.
Our mobile program carries a curated selection of budget-friendly frame and lens packages—bifocals, readers, progressives, plus blue-light and anti-glare coatings—so residents can choose stylish, comfortable eyewear without leaving the facility. Orders are precisely fitted during the visit and delivered either on a follow-up trip or directly to your front desk, eliminating extra logistics for your team.
Following each examination, our optometrists deliver updated prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses and offer specialized management for cataract and glaucoma patients, including monitoring, treatment recommendations, and timely referrals for surgical or medical intervention. When systemic conditions such as diabetes affect ocular health, we schedule follow-up visits and send concise, HIPAA-compliant care summaries directly to your facility’s care team to ensure seamless continuity of care.
If you are experiencing an eye emergency, such as sudden vision loss, eye pain, or injury, please call our office immediately. We provide same-day appointments to ensure that you receive prompt and effective care.
